However, the hotel clearly needs some maintenance. The balcony off my room was in poor condition with peeling paint and rotting wood. Additionally, the tavern wasn’t open during my stay, which was disappointing since I hoped to enjoy a meal there. Breakfast options were limited, and fresh fruit would have been nice to include. While the staff was generally helpful, I did notice some inconsistencies in service that could improve the experience significantly. The grounds also showed signs of neglect with some weedy areas around, which detracted from the overall ambiance.

The cleaning crew did a decent job at first glance but left a lot to be desired. Like a clump of hair in the tub, very unappealing. Plus, the location was ideal for our weekend getaway, close to shops, made it convenient for us to explore.
